A stage cigarette prop is a theatrical accessory used to recreate the appearance of smoking in theater, film, television, opera and live productions. Stage Props electronic cigarettes combine a rechargeable battery with a replaceable filter containing PG/VG liquid. When an actor draws on the device, it produces a visible, smoke-like aerosol while an LED tip glows to resemble a lit cigarette.
The effect can be created with a short, controlled draw into the mouth followed by exhalation. Inhalation into the lungs is not required to produce the visible effect. Unlike combustible cigarettes, the Stage Props system does not burn tobacco, herbs or paper. Herbal cigarettes have traditionally been used to recreate smoking scenes in theater and film. Although they generally contain no tobacco or nicotine, they still burn plant material and produce combustion smoke, ash and a burning tip. Stage Props uses an electronic system instead. There is nothing to light, no burning material and no ash to clean up between scenes. The visible effect is produced using PG/VG liquid rather than burning herbs.
